Deeply Rooted is a quarterly publication focused on historical homes and gardens throughout the United States. Deeply Rooted knows that everyone has their roots somewhere, deeply entwined with the histories of all those who came before. This inspires their dedicated mission to share the stories of these places and the people within them. This issue is focused on Philadelphia, with three feature stories about historical Philadelphia homes, such as Elfreth’s Alley and Glen Foerd on the Delaware. Two additional department stories talk about other historical Philadelphia treasures, like Edgar Allen Poe National Historical Site. The accompanying website shows how the visual language of Deeply Rooted’s physical publication can transfer into a digital format.
